December 1, 2025 - NOAA Fisheries grants deadline extension for Groundfish Limited Entry Permit renewals (LEPs and Sablefish Vessel Business Ownership Interest) and Groundfish Trawl Individual Fishing Quota Permit renewals (Quota Share and Vessel Accounts) until 11:59pm PST on December 12, 2025, due to the government shutdown and temporary outage of pay.gov services online. If you are planning to fish on January 1, 2026, please submit your renewals ASAP, as we cannot guarantee issuance by January 1st for permit renewals received during the extension period.
