Description

Survey work at the project site was completed and analyzed. Soil samples were taken and analyzed for hazardous materials. Engineering designs were presented to the City of Troy, permitting agencies, and funding entities. The final designs were presented to the City of Troy for approval and go ahead to seek funding of dam removal. Funding proposals were prepared for PCSRF round #14 and the funding decision is pending at the time of this writing. Fish distribution and abundance surveys have been conducted above and below the projects site. Flow gaging stations have been established below the project site and photo point locations have been identified.

Project Benefit

Removal of the Dutch Flat Dam would allow wild steelhead migration access to a watershed area of approximately 7,600 acres which encompasses approximately 35 stream miles.
