Description    


This project supported a DNR hydrologist for work on analyzing Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) reservations of water (ROWs) in the southeastern region of the state. ROWs were finalized on four anadromous streams (including the two largest salmon producing systems in Southeast Alaska and the largest producer of steelhead).

Project Benefit    


The rivers and lakes of Southeast Alaska support subsistence salmon fisheries. Salmon production in these water bodies is dependent on sufficient quantities of water. This project will benefit salmon resources and users by reserving sufficient quantities of water needed to sustain salmon production in priority water bodies.
