Description

OR DA Agriculture Water Quality Program staff worked with 45 Soil and Water Conservation Districts to develop annual scopes of work detailing how ODA technical assistance and Local Management Agency funds will be used to address water quality issues associated with agricultural activities. Developed methods for monitoring riparian vegetation conditions along agricultural lands. Conducted outreach on erosion prevention and water quality protection. Completed Best Management Practice effectiveness monitoring project to evaluate agricultural conservation practices; irrigation water management improvements, riparian grazing management, constructed wetlands, and erosion control in furrow irrigation systems.

Project Benefit

Support activities of ODA related to the restoration and protection of native salmonid populations, watersheds, fish and wildlife habitat and water quality.
