Lower SF Cottaneva Watershed Habitat Enhancement Design Project

This project is the planning and design of large wood (LW) structures along 1.1 miles of SF Cottaneva Creek and Rockport Creek. Structures will be designed in appropriate locations and will provide summer and winter habitat for Coho salmon. A risk assessment, 100% designs, and a basis of designs will be developed as a result of this project.

This project is the design of salmonid habitat structures. Implementation of the project designs will increased the amount and quality of salmonid habitat. The structures will also provide velocity refugia and will sort spawning gravels which will benefit salmonid survival and reproductive success.
