Description
The objective of this project is to develop a 100% design to enhance in-channel and off-channel salmonid spawning and rearing habitat on an approximately 1-mile long, 24-acre reach of Middle Camp Creek, a tributary to the Klamath River near Orleans, California. The project will also improve lamprey spawning/rearing habitat by causing scour that sorts bed material and creates lower velocity zones of sandy substrate suitable for Pacific lamprey spawning and rearing of lamprey ammocetes.
Project Benefit
The expected benefits to salmonid habitat include more summer and winter rearing habitat, as well as more spawning gravel.
