Lower Ryan Creek Off-Channel Habitat and Floodplain Enhancement Planning Project

This Project will develop final design plans to enhance off-channel wetland features for salmonid rearing and improve floodplain connectivity to reduce stranding in the lower Ryan Creek watershed. Project objectives include coordination of technical working group (TWG) meetings, site characterization surveys, mapping, and monitoring, CEQA and development of a regulatory compliance strategy, and development of an options analysis, a basis of design report, and preliminary to final design plans.

The primary benefit from this Project will be the development of 100% Design Plans for an off-channel, salmonid rearing habitat enhancement and wetland connectivity project in the lower Ryan Creek watershed. Implementation of the 100% design plans would result in a primary benefit of providing year-round rearing habitat for juvenile salmonids in the lower Ryan Creek watershed.
