Jacoby Creek Off-Channel Refuge and Rearing Habitat Planning Project

This project develops final design plans to provide high flow refugia and rearing habitat for juvenile salmonids in the Jacoby Creek watershed. Concept designs propose to enhance the confluence of a small unnamed tributary (Drainage 1) to Jacoby Creek, and to construct an off-channel alcove. Project objectives include stakeholder meetings, site characterization surveys, mapping and monitoring, development of an options analysis, a basis of design report, and preliminary to final design plans with a revegetation plan.

The primary benefit from this Project will be the development of 100% Design Plans for a juvenile coho off-channel habitat enhancement project in the Jacoby Creek watershed. Implementation of the 100% design plans would result in a primary benefit of providing high flow refugia for rearing juvenile salmonids in Jacoby Creek.
