Description

The Project will remedy an existing barrier to steelhead migration on an important tributary to the Carmel River by decommissioning (removing) an undersized, corroded 100-foot long, 54-inch diameter steel pipe road culvert in Potrero Creek and replace it with a 1210 span by 84 rise multiplate arched culvert designed to improve fish passage conditions, improve flood conveyance and provide safe vehicle access across Potrero Creek.

Project Benefit

This project will remediate a high priority steelhead migration barrier improving access into high quality perennial spawning and rearing habitat.
