Description

The original objectives and goals of this project have been met and exceeded. In total, 5.3 miles of high-priority streamside and inner gorge road were upgraded or decommissioned in the Big River watershed and all hydrologically connected road surfaces were disconnected. A total of 28 sediment delivery features were treated to largely eliminate their potential for failing and delivering eroded sediment to Big River.

FY18 funds spent within award window.

Project Benefit

This project will reduce sediment delivery and improve water quality for all life

stages of salmonids in Big River by treating prioritized, high value sediment sources and preventing the delivery of approximately 9,555 yd3 of sediment of road-related sediment delivery.
