Stream Bank Restoration: Fairbanks Cost Share - Phase 6

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) will partner with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), local governments, local nonprofit organizations, and landowners to assess, prioritize, and conduct restoration and rehabilitation projects on public and private lands over a three-year period. This project will provide funding, technical project design assistance, and on-the-ground project construction oversight.

This project will benefit fish habitat directly removing detrimental structures from streams; conserving healthy riverbank; and rehabilitating degraded riverbank. This work will help maintain healthy fish populations, productive fish habitat, riparian vegetation, and riparian function, and may help mitigate the effects of climate change through riparian plantings.
