Coast Salmon Partnership BN 23-25

The Coast Salmon Partnership facilitates implementation of the Washington Coast Sustainable Salmon Plan, which is the salmon recovery plan for the Coast region. The Washington coast region has the highest number of populations of any salmon recovery region in the state that are not listed as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act (ESA).  Worksites designate funding sources. Worksite #1 - The Board address emerging issues affecting salmon recovery; work with partners throughout the region to implement the plan strategies and actions; provide guidance to lead entities for annual project review and ranking; determine annual allocation for SRFB project funding; track projects; and conduct review of existing monitoring activities. Worksite #2 - Funds to administer the Washington Coast Resiliency and Restoration Initiative programWorksite #3 - Outreach and educationWorksite #4 - Funds to update Salmon Recovery Portal.The Sponsor shall perform the project as described in the following documents, which are incorporated herein by this reference: Standard Terms and Conditions for Project Agreement, Statement of Work, and Scope of Work. All expenses utilizing State operating funds must be billed in PRISM 45 days after the fiscal year ends. Bills are due by 08/14/2024 and 08/14/2025. Any operating funds not billed during this timeframe will be forfeited.

Coast Salmon Partnership implements the Washington Coast Regional Salmon Sustainability Plan which is a comprehensive set of strategies and actions designed to create conditions in the region’s watersheds which will support sustainable wild salmonid populations and help support local resource-dependent communities. Twenty-four detailed strategies and over sixty specific actions are organized into five themes: Education and Outreach; Protection and Restoration; Hatcheries and Harvest; Economic Tools; and Regulatory Effectiveness.
