Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District

This project implemented the Agricultural Water Quality Management Area Plans by utilizing the Soil and Water Conservation District as the local management agency to the fullest extent practical. This project included providing outreach and technical assistance to local landowners to: 1) promote and implement the Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds; 2) improve landowner involvement in conservation activities that enhance water quality and habitat for salmon; and 3) develop assessments and apply strategies to achieve the goals of the Oregon Plan.

Riparian habitat treatments leveraged was mistakenly omitted from proposed and has been added in to accurately represent the project at actual.

Project design/engineering was mistakenly reported at proposed and has been removed to accurately represent the project at actual.

Expected benefits include increased landowner knowledge of the relationship between and management, water quality, and salmonid survival, as well as implementation of conservation management activities on private lands enhancing watershed condition and salmonid survival.
