Description
This project consisted of planting all disturbed areas (~ 20 acres) within the Longley Project Area. Species planted consisted of native conifer and deciduous seedlings. There would be a total of 27,060 seedlings planted at the site, of which consisted of: 10,000 deciduous gallon potted seedlings, 6,000 conifer plug seedlings, and 11,060 deciduous plug seedlings. Upland and wetland metrics were incorrectly included at project proposal as activities split out from a previous project. However, per further conversation, this project only covered the riparian planting portion out of the entirety of activities done at Longley Meadows.
Project Benefit
The project will promote the revegetation of the Longley Meadows Restoration Project, which will contribute to an improved floodplain, increased stream shade, and improved riparian vegetation growth and vigor. This will, in turn, improve habitat for ESA-listed and non-ESA-listed native fish species. Accomplishments
