Description

This project created or improved livestock stream access or a livestock crossing; developed an off-channel watering site; installed riparian fencing; placed boulders instream; placed large wood instream; planted conifer and hardwood trees in the riparian area; planted riparian vegetation; stabilized a stream bank by installing log revetment; treated riparian habitat for non-native or noxious plant species.

Project Benefit

OWRI: decrease erosion/stream sedimentation; decrease livestock access to stream; decrease run-off contaminant input; decrease stream temperature; improve/increase stream flow; improve/increase stream gravel recruitment; improve/increase stream interaction with floodplain; improve/increase stream over-winter habitat; improve/increase stream pools; improve/increase stream rearing habitat; improve/increase stream spawning habitat; improve/increase stream structure & complexity; improve/increase stream summer habitat; increase future LWD recruitment to stream; increase future stream shading/increase vegetation to provide shade; increase native plant species composition; increase streambank stabilization/protection;
