Willapa River Mile 35 Instream and Riparian Design

To address poor in stream and riparian habitat conditions seen along the Seiler Family owned reach of the mainstem Willapa River (RM 35) we will develop a preliminary design set and basis of design (BOD) report detailing locations for large wood debris that could immediately improve in stream habitat conditions for chinook, chum, coho, and steelhead. The design report will also include specifications for riparian restorations practices that will provide near term shade, future large woody debris inputs and management of invasive species.

Develop preliminary instream and riparian restoration designs for 1.1 miles of Willapa River restoration to address bank erosion, lack of large wood, and channel incision as the preliminary step in improving spawning and rearing habitat for adult Coho and Winter Steelhead as well as juvenile Coho, Winter Steelhead, and Fall Chinook.
