Description

Following Implementation of Middle Entiat projects during 2019 and 2020, Cramer Fish Sciences (CFS), ICF, and CCNRD staff collected as-built data to account for earthwork/constructed features that were created during implementation, rather then due to natural processes. Not receiving high enough flow to trigger monitoring in 2021, CCNRD asked for a 1-year extension to complete post-project surveys in late summer/early fall of 2022, and subsequent analysis in late 2022 and early 2023. Acquisition of green LiDAR, habitat surveys, snorkel surveys, eDNA, and associated analysis was completed throughout the late summer into mid-winter months. Using the data collected, CFS developed a report that details and evaluates the physical and biological changes before and after restoration. Furthermore, the report evaluates the effectiveness of project design elements and offers adaptive management and future monitoring recommendations.

Project Benefit

This project conducted remote sensing of habitat conditions following flood flows and debris torrents.
