Worksite #`1, #2 and #3 - The Lead Entity coordinated the Citizen Advisor Committee and technical team, including arranging and facilitating meetings for both groups. The lead entity submited a ranked habitat project list to RCO which included community outreach, scheduling site visits, compiling project rankings, scheduling applicant workshops, etc

Worksite #4 - The Board addressed emerging issues affecting salmon recovery; worked with partners throughout the region to implement the plan strategies and actions; provided guidance to lead entities for annual project review and ranking; determined annual allocation for SRFB project funding; tracked projects; and conducted review of existing monitoring activities.

Project Benefit    


The Snake River Salmon Reocvery Board serves an essential coordination and communication role for the region that ensures broad based community, state, federal and Tribal support and understanding of the plan and its objectives. The Board coordinates the implmentation of actions and programs with multiple recovery partners to achieve the region’s mission and that outcomes are monitored and reported. The Board also coordinates tracking and reporting progress (actions, environmental conditions and fish abundance) and conducts education and outreach for the region.

          The Board worked with partners to implement the salmon habitat restoration and protection projects that are consisten with the recovery plan. The board coordinated and communicated with local, state, tribal, and federal partners to determine the best ways to further the implementation of the recovery plan.
