The Greater Oregon City Watershed Council (GOCWC) proposes to develop a set of construction-ready design products that will enable for future restoration of instream and riparian habitats over approximately 0.15 miles of Holcomb creek through placement of large wood in the channel. The project location is on Holcomb Creek 0.2 miles upstream from its confluence with Abernethy Creek. Stream inventories conducted in 2017 and 2019 indicated a lack or large wood and associated complex habitat throughout the Abernethy Creek watershed. Preparation of final engineering drawings and construction level contracting documents for project implementation will be accomplished. The project tasks include completing necessary hydraulic modeling and data analysis in support of the designs, developing 60% design and associated drawings for regulatory permitting, and finalizing design and drawings with an engineer’s cost estimate for construction.
