Description

Grantee removed non-native vegetation, Arundo donax and castor bean, from 11.6 miles of San Antonio Creek. Monitoring and Retreatments occurred over the course of grant term.

Project Benefit

Restore the riparian corridor through removal of non-native vegetation as outlined in the Steelhead Restoration and management plan for California by implementing the removal of giant reed (Arundo) and castor bean for the benefit of all life stages of steelhead in the San Antonio creek watershed in Ventura county.
