Description

Cowlitz Conservation District is collaborating with 5 landowners to address resource concerns in Germany Creek. The project is located in EDT reach Germany-6 (tier 1) and Germany-7 (tier 4) and address priority life stages and limiting factors for Winter Steelhead, Coho, Chum and Fall Chinook. Large Woody Debris structures will be placed instream to increase habitat quantity and complexity, improve off channel habitat, to restore watershed processes by addressing discrete concerns for accelerated sediment delivery. Riparian noxious weed control and native tree planting will occur within the riparian area.

Project Benefit

Project address priority limiting factors including spawning, rearing, and cold water refugia habitat for priority life stages for Coho, Winter Steelhead, Fall Chinook, and Chum Salmon in Germany Creek.
