Description

Intensive sample analysis, data entry, sample summaries and a genetic laboratory analysis proposal were finished to complete and exceed the project objectives. Broodyear 2021 adult Chinook salmon hatchery/natural integration and adult sampling in regional hatcheries and Snohomish basin natural escapements was successfully accomplished to complete Objectives 1 and 2.

Project Benefit

Broodstock integration, gene flow monitoring and management, and stock assessment work under this project protects natural stock genetic fitness and diversity which is necessary to recover the local natural salmonid populations and achieve the Tribe’s salmon recovery goals for the watershed.
