Description
The project collected water temperature data using data loggers set at one hour intervals. The budget only allow for the deployment of temperature data loggers, but was not enough to fund staff wages to collect manual stream flow data. The Karuk Tribe coordinated with others local agencies and organizations to collectively monitor all middle Klamath River tributaries and bracket temperature monitoring above and below their confluences with the Klamath River. Data was made available through the incorporation into the Klamath Basin Monitoring Plan (KBMP) water quality monitoring data portal.
Project Benefit
The project collects annual summer water temperature within cold water tributaries of the Klamath River. The data is used for both yearly monitoring, but also for long term monitoring useful for tracking climate change and localized changes in middle Klamath River tributaries. Accomplishments
