Description

Public meetings were held and newsletters mailed out. Landowners were informed project was being planned. Through this public outreach the community has been made aware of the project, the importance of the project, and now support it.

Project Benefit

Undertake an outreach campaign to educate and reinforce the importance of the removal of tamarisk and Arundo donax from the Santa Ynez River, Santa Barbara County and gain additional support from local landowners for the project. The objective of this project is the long term improvement of the riparian habitat conditions in the Santa Ynez River watershed for the benefit of southern California steelhead.
