Description

Provided staff support to CECs watershed restoration program to support of community based groups along the South Coast for steelhead restoration, watershed management, and public awareness.

Project Benefit

Provide organization and staff support for community-based watershed groups including the Carpinteria Watershed Coalition and the Rincon Creek Watershed Council. The Grantee shall find creative ways to address limiting factors such as barriers to migration, water quality, riparian dysfunction, excess sedimentation through its watershed, and public outreach activities. Grantee shall support and conduct outreach and restoration efforts for the coastal creeks that extend from the Santa Ynez River and its tributaries in Santa Barbara County to the Ventura River and its tributaries in Ventura County.
