Description

Modified Freeman Diversion on the Santa Clara River to monitor steelhead through upstream migration through existing fish ladder. Created a false weir, installed a digital video recording system, and installed gates and piping.

Project Benefit

UCWD will maintain the weir and summarize the data in an annual report that will be included with the other operation regarding steelhead. If possible, a web site will be maintained with images and current fish counts at the diversion for the general public to use.
