Description

Steelhead smolts were released into Yankee Fork Salmon River (330,000), Lemhi River (120,000), and Valley Creek (30,000). There were a total of 601,251 eggs outplanted at 15 locations (Deep Creek, Trail Creek, Beaver Creek, Owl Creek, Boulder Creek, Squaw Creek, Indian Creek Spring, Indian Creek Ranch, Carmen Creek, Freeman Creek, Turner Slough, Hayden Creek, Kadletz Creek, Salmon School Presentation, Recirculation Study). Hatch success was estimated at 88% for a total volitional emigration of 529,100 fry. Remaining eggs were outplanted in streamside incubators at Cearly Creek, Swift Goulgh, Basin Creek, and Curtis Creek. The project has ended and all work completed.
