Conducted initial groundwork with local landowners, Sawtooth National Recreational Area, and Upper Salmon Basin Watershed Project to implement project. Identified bank stabilization, fencing, conservation grazing, and livestock water development as critical restoration activities to improve riparian habitat. Temperature, bacteria, dissolved oxygen, pH, and nutrients were deemed as necessary factors to improve water chemistry. Funding was limited and, therefore, Sawtooth National Recreational Area completed the construction of the Woolley Fence with help from Bonneville Power Administration (100,000). Additional work (including vegetation along the riparian edge) is necessary.
