Description

The Tribe purchased a JCB 1400 Backhoe for use on its proposed Stream Restoration and Road Repair & Maintenance projects.

Project Benefit

By purchasing a Backhoe (rather than renting one every time) the Tribe will be better equipped to take on a myriad of land management activities (Stream Restoration, Road Repair, Bank Stabilization, ) that will arise. By owning the equipment, rather than renting it, the Tribe will also be able to respond more rapidly when a need for such equipment arises as well as being able to employ a heavy equipment operator.
