I and E Water Education

ODFW Information and Education (I&E) staff continued to inform ODFW staff, private partners, and the public about Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds efforts. They also provided support to the Coastal Coho Assessment by developing press releases and helping facilitate the Stakeholder Team process. I&E also served a critical role in development of the Oregon Hatchery Research Center (OHRC) by developing outreach opportunities and designing public information kiosks for the facility which outline the Oregon Plan program and the role of the OHRC in implementation.

Increased public understanding of the lifecycle, habitat needs and importance of salmonids to the Pacific Northwest, and acceptance of management actions including restoration activities and angling regulation changes
