Description

The project consists of moving the Makah Tribes Umbrella Creek adult sockeye ripening and juvenile rearing facility to a new location on Umbrella Creek. The need to find a new water source location for hatchery operations resulted from disease being transferred to adult broodstock hatchery fish from several hundred naturally spawning adult sockeye above the facilitys water intake.

Project Benefit

Improved fish passage; enhancement of Lake Ozette sockeye ESU; minimized disease risks.
