Description

Planted several thousand trees and shrubs along the newly restored banks of Mill Creek as described in the proposal.

Project Benefit

Increased bank stability (decreased erosion), increased shading capability (reduced evaporation), increased large and small woody debris recruitment (cover and aquatic insect production), improved streamside eco-system health, improved surface water flow retention type as a result of the wicking action of the vegetation into the water table, increased wildlife habitat and aesthetic improvement.
