Description

The project enhanced water quality in a unique spring-fed alcove by the replacement of one undersized road culvert with a bridge, re-construction of a more natural channel meander and enhancement of the channel confluence with the Twisp River. The bridge allows improved fish passage through the channel and into the alcove, thus benefitting ESA-listed spring Chinook and steelhead trout. Site restoration included revegetation with native trees and shrubs.

Project Benefit

To provide expanded access to off-channel rearing habitat along the Twisp river, benefitting ESA-listed spring Chinook and steelhead.
