Santa Rosa Creek Restoration and Improved Land Management Design Project

The Project proposes to prepare of all aspects of assessment, planning, design, permits, and associated coordination required to leading up to (but not including) implementation. The major goal of the project is to establish natural watershed processes, balancing environmental needs of steelhead trout while also meeting the needs of working agriculture for sustained benefits. This project will be designed to the 100% level in a way that offers measurable improvements to riparian/instream habitat aligned with agricultural development on a 332-acre parcel that has been owned and operated by the Rhoades family for generations.

The design process is stakeholder-inclusive in order to actualize multiple tangible and measurable project benefits that include addressing several known limiting factors to steelhead via riparian restoration and improvements to agriculture development. Steelhead will not be able to sustain for the long term without fast-tracking the identified habitat improvements. The TAC (Task 2) supports stakeholder/agency collaboration in order to progress toward recovery
