Hold the four-day long 2010 annual conference including two continuing education classes, four all-day workshops, six all-day field tours, a plenary session and 15 concurrent session. Approximately 650 oeioke attended the conference and hundreds attendef
Project Benefit
Aid in the recovery of anadromous salmonid populations by educating practitioners, landowners, agency personnel and watershed stewards with the following objectives:
•Inform individuals and groups about restoration opportunities, technical and educational methodologies, and innovative developments.
•Provide hands-on training focused on salmonid restoration techniques.
•Acquaint people with updated information in the Steelhead Restoration and Management Plan for California (updated task database), Recovery Strategy for California Coho Salmon, and California Salmonid Stream Habitat Restoration Manual.
•Facilitate communication and cooperation among restoration practitioners and between contractors, resource managers, agency personnel, and landowners.
•Highlight specific regional and local restoration problems, treatments, and opportunities.
•Address high priority recommendations in the Steelhead Restoration and Management Plan, including fish passage recommendations and the Recovery Strategy for California Coho Salmon.
•Record, edit and produce a DVD with some of the highlights of the conference to add to the Salmonid Restoration Federation media library and create a public resource.
