Service Description: Salmon Evolutionarily Significant Units (ESUs) and steelhead Distinct Population Segments (DPSs) listed under the Endangered Species Act overlap geographically. These "recovery domain" management boundaries were created to group listed fish together geographically for recovery planning and implementation purposes. Recovery domain boundaries are different than the actual ESU and DPS boundaries, which are mapped to individual listings.
