AbstractThis report contains a status assessment of two salmon Evolutionarily Significant Units (ESUs): the Oregon Coast (OC) Chinook salmon ESU and the Southern Oregon/Northern California Coast (SONCC) Chinook salmon ESU. The report was prepared in response to a petition to list these ESUs as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act, primarily due to threats to the spring-run life-history component of the ESUs.
