Description

The objective of this project is to restore salmonid access to 2.8 miles of stream spawning and rearing habitat in Stavle Creek, a tributary to the North Fork of the Lewis River. Currently, a 4.5 ft round concrete culvert blocks upstream fish migration due to a 4 foot drop. A series of 5 rock step-pools will be be constructed to restore access into the culvert and to high-quality upstream habitat. Revegetation using native trees and shrubs will be conducted to provide stream shading and cover.
