The objective of this project is to restore 700 ft. of a fish bearing, spring-fed tributary to Newaukum Creek to provide valuable juvenile salmonid rearing habitat. Mid-Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group will accomplish this restoration by removing an undersized culvert, replacing another undersized culvert, installing 24 pieces of large woody debris, planting 1000 native trees and shrubs, and fencing off the riparian area from livestock.
