To improve the water quality on Nevada Creek and the Blackfoot River. This project will focus on improving the riparian plant communities and channel stability to reduce streambank erosion and the subsequent impacts that the sediment is having on the fisheries and agriculture in the Nevada Creek Watershed. Management plans will also include upland plant community improvement and confinement area winter feeding BMPs to complement the work that will be done along the stream corridor. 1. Improve the riparian vegetation along the stream corridor. 2. Reduce sediment delivery into the Nevada Creek Reservoir and the Blackfoot River. 3. Improve rainbow and brown trout habitat. 4. Improve upland vegetation condition to minimize soil erosion and improve water filtration rates. 5. Reduce agricultural waste entering Nevada Creek and its tributaries from confinement areas and winter feeding grounds.
