This project will implement the first phase of restoration for Grave Creek. This project is a continuation of an existing 319 grant project and is an integral part of a larger recovery plan that includes a sediment reduction and channel stabilization program in the upper Grave Creek on U.S. Forest Service property and private property adjacent to the project site near the confluence with the Tobacco River. The intent of this project is to restore 4,300 feet of Grave Creek, a critical bull trout spawning tributary, to naturally functioning condition and thereby meaningfully improve spawning and rearing habitat quality for both threatened bull trout and westslope cutthroat trout.
