Description

The objective of this proposal is to reduce sediment transported into Elk Creek from an 0.8 mile segment of county road by at least 75%. This is Phase III of a continuing effort. The overall goal of the road stabalization and stream restoration efforts completed and planned for Elk Creek is to improve water quality to meet state standards under the Clean Water Act and to improve aquatic habitats for native fish. This is being done by linking the efforts of the landowners in the watershed and by locating cooperators who can assist in funding and implementing the needed projects.
