Description

This project provided a means for the Tribe to go back and fine tune approximately 2.4 miles of completed stream restoration efforts to protect the restoration effort investment and maintain channel integrity. In addition, these funds provided an opportunity to enhance specific sites to improve functionality, e.g. adding large woody debris to enhance scour function or addition of boulder rip rap to protect bank stability. Enhancement activities creating two new scour pools and protecting 200 of additional stream bank from erosion scour.

Project Benefit

Increased stability of the project as a whole while strengthening the weak spots and enhancing the strong points. This fine tuning really helps the effectiveness and longevity of the Project to meet the many goals (Fisheries, Wildlife, Ecological, Environmental and Educational) associated with this Project.
