Description

Funding provided support for outreach and education that increases our ability to implement the Nisqually Fall Chinook Recovery Plan and other species recovery work in the Nisqually. The work included training adult volunteers, educating key community sectors, organizing activities for elementary through high school students, publishing educational newsletters and other outreach materials.

Project Benefit

This project will ensure that we continue build the critical community support for the work we are doing to recover salmon. Without a local community that is interested and supportive of salmon habitat work we will not be successful in implementing our salmon recovery plan.
