Description
The project sponsor took delivery of the of the boat and trailer designed for monitoring and evaluation, to meet objectives of the Redfish Lake Sockeye Captive Broodstock Program. The boat and trailer are being used to transport eggs and fish to release location in three Stanley Basin lakes, retrieve in-lake incubation devices after eggs have been hatched and fry emerge, and conduct routine biological assessment such as limnological surveys, habitat surveys, telemetry surveys, adult spawner surveys and angler creel surveys. All objectives address slated program objectives.
Project Benefit
The acquisition of a watercraft meeting program specification will an immediate benefit to ESA-listed Snake River sockeye salmon by providing program-critical monitoring and evaluation components.
