Upper Columbia Basin Salmon Recovery Planning and Coordination

This project provided for the continued participation in regional salmon recovery forums and processes. CCT participation in mid-Columbia HCP, development and implementation of the CCT/Action Agency MOA, Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board, PCSRF updates/validation reporting, continued development of the Okanogan Initiative and Anadromous fish plan, and development of the CCT Office of ESA Management. The Office of ESA Management will oversee the implementation of the CCT Fish Accords, the Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Plan and will track project metrics towards the established recovery goals of the Okanogan.

Contribute to an increase in tribal capacity to coordinate with regional salmon recovery efforts, and to develop and implement various watershed and subbasin plans. Key staff infrastructure ensures that core recovery projects are adequately funded, implemented, and monitored. Staff infrastructure identifies cost-sharing opportunities that leverages adequate funding. Public outreach and education provides positive leadership to the Upper Columbia region in the implementation of the Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Plan.
