Description

Tribal staff reviewed and incorporated population viability analysis for three Snake River Spring/Summer Chinook Salmon Major Population Groupings: South Fork Salmon River, Middle Fork Salmon River, and Upper Salmon River. In addition, we have updated modifications to the TRMP that were addressed in Boise, Id., on July 18, 2006. Worked with Tribal policy to remove the South Fork Salmon River hatchery and natural origin FMA. Included co-management coordination meeting for harvest allocation of chinook salmon in four hatchery areas. Inserted statement on how we deal with harvest when run sizes are below the critical level.

Project Benefit

Promote recovery and restoration of ESA-listed salmonids through proper management and cooperation with relavent co-managers in the sub-basin.
