Description

This project collected valuable harvest information relative to the ongoing recovery efforts of the Okanogan summer steelhead population. The harvest data is part of an ongoing collection of information-dating back to the inception of the PCSRF program. The project compiled tribal fisheries creel survey data, monitored adult steelhead returns and spawning activity in Omak Creek, monitored adult chinook returns and spawning activity in Omak Creek and monitored juvenile steelhead and chinook abundance, distribution, and survival in Omak Creek. The information collected has been transferred to the CCT Okanogan Basin Monitoring and Evaluation Program. The information can be requested through the CCT Fish and Wildlife Department.

Project Benefit

This project will contribute to increased and sustainable salmon and steelhead populations by effective continuation of monitoring and evaluation strategies.
