Description

In 2006, this project incubated, reared and released 4,300,000 sockeye salmon (2,913,000 fry, 735,000 fall fry, and 652,000 smolt) and 776,000 coho salmon (447,000 fry and 329,000 smolt) to seven drainage systems in Resurrection Bay, Kachemak Bay, and Upper Cook Inlet.

Project Benefit

Enhancement projects provide a significant portion of the salmon returning to CIAA enhancement project sites within Cook Inlet available for common property harvest. Commercial, subsistence & recreational fishers all rely on the enhancement efforts of CIAA.
