Description

This project was completed as described in the description proposal. This project impacts the Snake River Basin ESU Steelhead. Data provided through this study has greatly expanded the knowledge of steelhead within the Potlatch River drainage as well as the Lower Clearwater MPG. The project successfully measured levels of steelhead production and productivity within the Potlatch River drainage. This information will be used by managers and policy makes to better understand the status of this ESA listed species. Furthermore, greater understanding has already expanded the level of protection of steelhead in the Lower Clearwater River having a direct impact on the status of the population. Another project numbered 052 05 CW has been awarded to continue this monitoring and evaluation.

Project Benefit

Project will provide information necessary to effective adaptive management of habitat restoration actions, and prioritization of habitat restoration actions, targeted to Snake River Basin ESU Steelhead.
